2015 JAHC Continuing Education

There are two types of continuing education credits being offered at the 2015 Joint American Homeopathic Conference. There are no prerequisites to participate in these credit opportunities. Details about how to obtain these credits are included below.

The educational sessions at the JAHC are generally geared towards practitioners of homeopathy, students of homeopathy, and intermediate or advanced home users of homeopathy. However, homeopathy beginners are certainly welcome and will learn a great deal over the course of the conference.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Credits

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits are appropriate for professional homeopaths and are awarded by the Accreditation Commission for Homeopathic Education in North America (ACHENA).

Message from ACHENA regarding Continued Professional Development (CPD) Hours

The purpose of professional development for the practicing classical homeopath is to fine tune skills. address gaps in practice and to provide exposure to new ideas in the field.  ACHENA applauds the National Center for Homeopathy for planning a conference with a wide range of topics and speakers covering established concepts in Classical Homeopathy as well as new developments.  ACHENA has approved a wide range of sessions for CPD hours.  In some cases, the sessions approved may present concepts and approaches that are outside of the bounds of Classical Homeopathy.  ACHENA supports academic freedom and healthy debate within the homeopathic community. As non-licensed professional homeopaths explore these ideas and apply them in practice, it is essential that we avoid “guaranteeing” any specific health outcomes and communicate clearly that we do not diagnose or treat disease.

A total of 38 hours of workshop sessions have been approved by ACHENA  for Continuing Professional Development. Due to concurrent sessions, the maximum number of CPD hours that an individual can earn during the conference is 20 hours.

Process for Obtaining Credit

  • The session moderator will announce a verification code at the end of each credited session; the code will also be displayed on the screen at the end of each credited session.
  • Record the code on the session record form included in your registration materials.
  • After the conference you will go online, complete session evaluations, an overall evaluation, and enter the verification code for each of the sessions you attended. The web address and deadline for completing this evaluation will be provided to attendees onsite at the conference.
  • Please note that you must complete session and general evaluations ONLINE in order to receive credit.
  • NCH will email you your CPD certificate after the conference.

If you have questions about the educational standards for professional homeopaths, please email ACHENA at info@achena.org.

Foundational Studies Credits

Foundational Studies credits are appropriate for students who are working to become professional homeopaths.

The 10th Annual Joint American Homeopathic Conference qualifies for 44.75 hours of Foundational Studies Credits. Due to concurrent sessions, the maximum number of Foundational Studies Credit hours that an individual can earn during the conference is 20.75 hours.
