2016 JAHC Hotel, Travel & Area Information

The 2016 Joint American Homeopathic Conference (JAHC) will take place in beautiful Westminster, Colorado (just outside of Denver) at the Westin Westminster with majestic views of the Rocky Mountains. All educational sessions will take place at this hotel. The JAHC has also negotiated a special room rate for conference attendees.

Hotel Accommodations and Reservations

The 11th Annual JAHC, presented by the National Center for Homeopathy, has reserved a block of rooms for conference attendees at the Westin Westminster at a special rate of $155 single/double per night, plus tax. This rate is good three days prior to and three days post the JAHC, subject to rate and space availability. Complimentary internet is included for guest rooms included in this room block.

The deadline to make reservations at the rate of $155 single/double (plus tax) per night is March 15, 2016 (subject to availability).

  • Uber: A one-way Uber from the Denver airport to the Westin Westminster will cost between $40 - $160, depending on the time of day and the type of car hired. (note: uberX is the most affordable).

Driving
The Westin Westminster is conveniently located just off the Boulder Turnpike (U.S. Highway 36), only 15 minutes from downtown Denver and 15 minutes from Boulder, Colorado. 
 
From Denver International Airport (East):
  1. Take Pena Boulevard to I-70 West, then to I-270 West and I-25 North.
  2. Continue to U.S. Highway 36 West and then to 104th Avenue East.
  3. Proceed one block to Westminster Boulevard and follow to the hotel.
  4. The fastest route from the airport is to take the E-470 Tollway.
  5. To do this, take Pena Boulevard to E-470 then take E-470 north all the way over to U.S. Highway 287.
  6. Go south on U.S Highway 287 to U.S. Highway 36.
  7. Continue to U.S. Highway 36 East to 104th Avenue East.
  8. Proceed one block to Westminster Boulevard and follow it to the hotel.
From Downtown Denver (South):
  1. Take Speer Boulevard to I-25 North to U.S. Highway 36 West.
  2. Continue to 104th Avenue East.
  3. Then take Westminster Boulevard to the hotel.
  4. From North I-25 South to U.S. Highway 36 West:

From West I-70 East to I-25 North:

Explore Westminster

April in Colorado can be 80 degrees and sunny or two feet of snow…and anything in between.  That’s part of the exciting beauty of this dramatic locale.  Up in the high country, within a two-hour drive, some ski areas will still be running, often with surprisingly good conditions.  Down on the flats, trees and flowers are blooming, it is usually sunny and the views of the Front Range are magnificent.  If you can stay a little longer there is so much to do in the surrounding cities and mountains.

Boulder is home to The University of Colorado at Boulder and Naropa Institute.  It is a center of education, science, technology, alternative medicine, fabulous restaurants, sports and the great outdoors.  Some unique places to visit are:

- As a gift to its sister city, Boulder, this magnificent teahouse was built by hand in Dushanbe, Tajikistan as a gift. It was disassembled, crated up, shipped and rebuilt in Boulder as a symbol of friendship and cultural exploration. The elaborate and creative teahouse serves an wonderful array of teas and international foods
 
 
- Right at the edge of town are beautiful hiking trails in the foothills of Boulder. The Chautauqua is an historic auditorium with a lovely restaurant looking out at all of Boulder below.
