2017 JAHC Continuing Education Information

The 2017 Joint American Homeopathic Conference offers continuing education credits for all of its educational sessions.  There are no prerequisites to participate in these credit opportunities.  Details on how to obtain these credits are included below.

The educational sessions at the JAHC are generally geared towards practitioners of homeopathy, students of homeopathy, and intermediate or advanced home users of homeopathy.  However, homeopathy beginners are certainly welcome and will learn a great deal over the course of the conference.

Continuing Education Units

All educational sessions at the conference are approved for continuing education units [1 unit of credit per 1 hour of session]. Anyone who attends the conference is eligible to earn these units and they may be used for a variety of purposes. Please note: Continuing education units from the conference ARE accepted by the Council for Homeopathic Certification (CHC) for both homeopaths working towards CCH certification and current CCHs working to maintain their certification.

The 12th Annual Joint American Homeopathic Conference qualifies for 44.50 continuing education units. Due to concurrent sessions, the maximum number of continuing education units that an individual can earn during the conference is 19.00 CEU.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Credits

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits are appropriate for professional homeopaths and are awarded by the Accreditation Commission for Homeopathic Education in North America (ACHENA). A select number of educational sessions at the conference have been approved for ACHENA credit.

Message from ACHENA regarding Continued Professional Development (CPD) Hours

The purpose of professional development for the practicing classical homeopath is to fine tune skills. address gaps in practice and to provide exposure to new ideas in the field.  ACHENA applauds the National Center for Homeopathy for planning a conference with a wide range of topics and speakers covering established concepts in Classical Homeopathy as well as new developments.  ACHENA has approved a wide range of sessions for CPD hours.  In some cases, the sessions approved may present concepts and approaches that are outside of the bounds of Classical Homeopathy.  ACHENA supports academic freedom and healthy debate within the homeopathic community. As non-licensed professional homeopaths explore these ideas and apply them in practice, it is essential that we avoid “guaranteeing” any specific health outcomes and communicate clearly that we do not diagnose or treat disease.

A total of 35.00 hours of workshop sessions have been approved by ACHENA  for Continuing Professional Development. Due to concurrent sessions, the maximum number of CPD hours that an individual can earn during the conference is 15.50.

If you have questions about the educational standards for professional homeopaths, please email ACHENA at
