#GivingTuesday 2015

NCH is thrilled to be participating in #GivingTuesday, a first of its kind effort that will harness the collective power of a unique blend of partners—charities, families, businesses and individuals—to transform how people think about, talk about and participate in the giving season. Coinciding with the Thanksgiving Holiday and the kickoff of the holiday shopping season, #GivingTuesday will inspire people to take collaborative action to improve their local communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they support and help create a better world.

Taking place December 1, 2015 – the Tuesday after Thanksgiving – #GivingTuesday will harness the power of social media to create a national movement around the holidays dedicated to giving, similar to how Black Friday and Cyber Monday have become days that are, today, synonymous with holiday shopping.

Why You Should Give to NCH on December 1:

Each and every day our goal is to help people live healthier, more fulfilling lives through homeopathy. We were incredibly busy this year - reaching out to millions of new people through strategic partnerships and educational inititives. More and more people are realizing the healing powers of homeopathy and we're helping them do it.

Countdown to #Giving Tuesday – Why You Should Give to NCH on December 1:

  • NCH continues to present the Joint Annual Homeopathic Conference for the whole homeopathic community.  This year we held the 10th Annual Joint American Homeopathic Conference, May 8-10, 2015 in Philadelphia, PA. At this event we welcomed over 350 attendees from across the US and around the globe.
  • We held the first-ever Homeopathy Academy for Moms Live! workshop on May 9, 2015 in Philadelphia, PA. Moms, dads, and caretakers of all kinds received high quality, practical education on how they can successfully use homeopathy at home.
  • We conducted our third, and very successful Call for Abstracts for the 11th Annual Joint American Homeopathic Conference (April 8-10, 2016 in Westminster, CO) – the largest annual gathering of the homeopathic community in the US!
  • We educated tens of thousands of new people about the healing powers of homeopathy across the US and around the world through:
  1. Daily tips/information on Facebook and Twitter. Our social media presence continued to explode in 2015. We now have:
  • +33,000 Facebook Likes
  • +3,000 Twitter followers

      2. Twitter parties with the Holistic Moms Network – for a total of +2 million Twitter impressions!

  • We raised awareness about the importance of complementary, alternative, and integrative health care options with lawmakers through legislator education.
  • Continued partnerships with the Holistic Moms Network, Share Care, and the Integrative Healthcare Symposium.  These partnerships give us access and exposure to millions of new people and an opportunity for NCH to be an authoritative voice for homeopathy.
  • Hosting the Homeopathy Academy for Moms webinar series, with support from Hyland’s & 1-800-HOMEOPATHY. Webinars to date have had +10,000 registrants and views on our YouTube channel!
  • Conducted a first of its kind homeopathic consumer survey – which +20,000 people completed! We presented the results of this survey to the FDA about consumer satisfaction with homeopathy.
  • Presented testimony at the FDA hearings about homeopathy in April 2015. Offered an authoritative voice on consumer satisfaction with homeopathy.
  • Rallied the community to write their own personal comments to submit to the FDA about their positive experiences with OTC homeopathic products. After consulting with experts we even provided detailed guidance on what to say and equally important, what not to say.
  • Launched the NCH e-Learning center - a new trusted, authoritative source for on-demand homeopathic education!
  • Attended the FTC workshop in September 2015 and shared expert guidelines to homeopathic consumers, practitioners, researchers, and educators on how to comment during the FTC public commenting period.
