JAHC 2020 and Coronavirus Update

Dear Friends,

The Board of Directors and staff of the National Center for Homeopathy is actively engaged in thoughtful oversight and planning for JAHC2020. At this time, we want to include you in the conversation and share the latest information we have about COVID-19 and the future of this year’s conference.

Like so many in the global community, we have been receiving an infinite amount of information about the virus and precautions to take at this time.  Many members of the homeopathic community live in cities where large gatherings are restricted, schools are closed, and favorite arts and sporting events are cancelled.  Travel is restricted and it is difficult for many to see friends and family who live outside their neighborhoods.  Unfortunately, we do not know how things will be in May.

The annual JAHC conference is one of the homeopathic community’s most valuable efforts.  Many practitioners have individual practices and they rely on the annual meeting to see old friends, meet new ones, and create meaningful relationships to support them in their work.  New prescribers yearn to hear a team of speakers who will allow them to more confidently select remedies to support their family’s good health.  Exhibitors and sponsors look forward to personal introductions where they can share information about their products and services. And homeopathic schools and organizations have the invaluable opportunity to discuss their offerings.

At a time like this, we need each other more than ever.

The conference planning committee is keeping up with the latest advice from health care officials, the CDC, and the World Health Organization.  We are in touch with officials at the Orlando Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Orlando Hilton Hotels.  We are also monitoring the evolving decisions of the partners with which we have contractual obligations. This includes the hotel, special entertainment, etc.  One thing that you can be sure of is that we will be making decisions that promote everyone’s safety and well-being while working to provide the quality education, camaraderie and support for which the annual JAHC conference is known.

In the event that the conference is cancelled, the JAHC will issue full refunds to all registered attendees.  We will also work to develop new ways for us to stay connected and share the educational experience that we value so highly.

We want to publicly thank the staff, committee and community members who are working to keep up with health reports while staying mindful of our mission to come together to provide education, build awareness, and advocate for access to homeopathy as a safe, effective, and affordable system of medicine.  We are all stronger for their commitment and dedication.

We will continue to keep you informed.  You can also check for updates on our website, JAHC2020.org.  We are a creative and caring community and we know we will get through this together.  In the meantime, please do everything you can to stay healthy and to ensure the good health of those around you.

Be well
