Natural History.
      Blue Garden Iris (Rhizome also used to make Oris root).
      N.O. Iridaceae. Tincture of fresh rhizome.

Clinical.
      Diarrhoea.
      Dropsy.
      Freckles.

Characteristics.
      The fresh root of Ir-german. I-flor., and our common yellow iris, I-pseudo-acorus, have been much used in dropsies and violently cathartic.
      The juice is also used for the removal of freckles from the skin.
